Saw your lovely image on 500px. FYI, Steptoe Butte looks like it will be closed this year…. Verizon is doing some tower replacement. Not sure when its going to close but the last I heard was Spring for 5 months. I’m doing a workshop in late May and crossing my fingers they will not have started yet. Lots of other places to shoot but Steptoe is an Icon. Good luck.

Thanks John! I’ve been following the Steptoe Butte closure closely. It definitely puts a wrinkle on Spring photography in the Palouse! I hope you make it in before the closure. I’m going to be doing quite a bit of scouting to make up for the time my group would be on the Butte. Good luck to you as well!
