Your “Phoenix Rising” and “Angel” leave me speechless… The beauty of these two images is just overwhelming!
“Explosions in the sky” takes me to another world and makes me feel weightless and calm (despite the title)
“Ice Figures” could be a wonderful illustration in a fantasy book about ice pilgrims on the way to some mystical place…
Nature’s supreme beauty can easily be missed – but not through your lens!
Definitely a story… the image was 3 years in the making. Rainier has been tough for wildflowers the last few years so this past summer was in incredible experience. To top it off, there are very few great sunsets on Rainier in the summer. Pairing the too was worth the wait!
great portfolio, Dude! The Northern lights had to occupy most of the list, considering how rare they are and how hard you had to work to get them! Are you thawed out yet? Privileged to have been with you for one of them – which you worked hard to find and create! – and hope to be with you when at least one of your best images of 2013 is made! Rock on, Ron Bernstein fotoman1527@comcast.net
What a great year for you my friend!! I pick the sensational “Ice Figures” as my personal favourite. Not only are the actual shapes intriguing but the knowledge of the hard work behind hit and the totally sublime light makes it a true winner. Phoenix rising as my second pick!! Lets hope that 2013 will be a fab year and that we will rock Palouse in June!!
Wonderful images from what must have been a very successful year. congratulations on all of these images. I’m especially fond of “Patience”. It must have been worth the wait. Did you have to wrestle with the wind to get those beautiful wildflowers so still?

Ah, the art of landscape photography at its very best, Justin. I’m curious, though, why the title, “patience”? Perhaps there is a story?

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the feedback! Wind wasn’t too bad at all! Took years to line up the flowers and conditions to finally get that shot!
